House Beautiful has been my favorite interior design magazine since I was a teenager. My Grandmother received this magazine and from a very young age I would spend a lot of time at her house flipping through page after page over and over. HHouse Beautiful is a great magazine with very appealing pictures, and ideas from Small remodels to large overhauls. www.housebeautiful.com
Interior Design magazine on line is a new interest of mine just in the past few months. It provides much more then just any magazine, it includes blogs, new products, projects, and profession information. Not to mention it is easy to access on your phone Internet on the go! www.interiordesign.net

Spring time-Inspiration
Four piece outdoor patio set
This patio set would be great for a patio with a view of the lake or ocean
Outdoor sectional with ottoman
Seating for five
Yes, it is already that time of the year once again! Patio furniture is a great inspiration to get one ready for the great weather that is soon on its way. Today patio furniture is made for great comfort just as the furniture is made for your living room. Patio furniture inspires me to spend more time outside relaxing, enjoying the sunshine, and to planting flowers. It great to even have a table and chair set on your patio to spend time with friends and family for meals.

Yogurtland Review
Yogurtland – Is a frozen yogurt shop located in the Montgomery Ward plaza in Fort Worth , TX . This yogurt shop is in a prime location on the Westside of Fort Worth which is a fast growing part of the city. Yogurtland offered a variety of yogurt flavors with many different toppings for just $.30 per oz. This location welcomed a variety of customers while I was there from college students, mothers and their children to working men and women. I recently visited this location in mid afternoon during the week where I spent just about an hour.
Yogurtland provided great up to date music, a very modern décor, clean lines and stainless steel. The space was free of clutter and very clean. The colors include green, and yellow with a splash of pink, these colors complimented one another well. The lighting was good; it had resisted lighting, and hanging fixtures over the condiment bar which provided a well lit area. The yogurt flavors and the condiments were labeled very clearly. Displays and advertising were minimal in the front windows which did not seem to be very inviting for passing customers.
The space was longer then it was wide leaving limited space to move freely. One thing that I defiantly felt could be improved is when the shop is busy the line would run from the front door to the back then back and up to the yogurt flavors which would cause customers sitting at the tables to have limited space and be surrounded by the customers in line. There was also a glass divider between the yogurt dispensers and where the line would be, this was good to separate the space and help customers understand the direction of flow but is also limited the space for the amount of customers to get their yogurt and to sample the flavors.
Yogurtland staff lacked customer service. Customers of this location seemed to be happy with the variety of flavors and condiments.
There was limited furniture inside, four stainless steel tables and chairs but there were a few other tables just outside the doors. I would assume that the limited seating and indoor space is also just a part of what frozen yogurt is about, many customers came and went with their yogurt and I will assume that weather permitting the outside patio would be a great location to enjoy yogurt.
Yogurtland is in a great location and provides a great tasty variety of frozen yogurt.

The worst closet design !
This is the closet of a master bedroom. The stair case runs through the closet. This is a bad design because as you can see you lose a lot of space that could be available if it were not for the staircase. Not only does it limit the space the lighting for the back half of the closet is very limited. Some solutions to this might be added light underneath the staircase and possibly some shelves could have been added to the staircase.

Field Trip Inspiration!
Our Intro to Interior design class made a filed visit last Friday to G.L. Seaman & Company this was a great inspiration for my week. It was great to see one of the many aspects of interior design. The furniture dealership was one aspect of interior design that one might not of ever thought of being such an important part of this field. It was great to learn the in and outs of this company and the Senior Vice President Mary Edwards provided us with some great background information on the company and detailed information on the makes, and models of the furniture. Who would have thought that people could take such a great interest in office chairs and how much difference a good chair or work station could make for an employee. This trip was also inspiring to me to see employees who have such a strong passion for their job, company and field of work. It is great that this company allows students to visit and provide encouragement. This was encouraging to myself and other students I am sure to work harder and continue with their field of study in interior design.

Residential Interior Designer
Residential Interior Design is where my interest lies. Residential interior designers deal mostly with the look and finishing materials in a space, such as the paint, fabric, furnishings, lighting and more. An interior designer works to make a safe, functional and attractive environment for their client’s home. To design the interior of someone’s home is an intimate process, and the project can be an emotional one for the client, because of the nature of residential design. After finding out the needs of the client, interior designers must complete the technical aspects of their job. Designers will create detailed floor plans, elevation drawings and other documentation. Designers select everything from wall finishes to floor coverings, window treatments to counter top materials. After plans have been completed designers move on to the pricing stage of the project. Designers must be accurate measures of existing space and for furniture space. Interior designers must also work with contractors and other professionals to ensure the design plans are carried out properly for the client's project. A good designer always put their client’s needs and wants first. Its a great feeling to be able to help others with their design needs. These pictures are of a baby's nursery recently completed for a friend of mine baby girl.
